Canlan Sports™ is the leading owner, operator, and investor in the multi-sport recreation sector
in North America. Our team is committed to creating sports communities that change lives for
the better, including surface booking for participants of all ages and skill levels.
Before booking a contract or spot ice rental, we understand that you may have some questions,
which is why we've introduced our Peace of Mind Policy to ensure you have all the information
you need prior to your next rental of any Canlan surface (ice, court or turf) with us.

How does payment work?
Payments for surface rentals (CatchCorner) at Canlan Sports™ are due in-full at the time of
booking. At this time, online payments at the point of registration are accepted through Visa,
MasterCard, or Debit Card.
Payments for contract ice rentals at Canlan Sports™ are due as per the terms in your contract. At
this time, online payments at the point of registration are accepted through Visa, MasterCard, or
Debit Card. Postdated cheques (with prior arrangements made with the Canlan Sports complex)
can be sent in for the outstanding payments as per the payment terms in your contract. All ice
must be paid in full prior to use and in accordance with your contract payment terms.
**Please note that a $25.00 surcharge will be applied to any non-sufficient fund payments.
Can I cancel my multi week contract?
Once contracts are signed, there is a contract clause that indicates there are no cancellations or refunds. If you will not be using your contracted surface time, we encourage you to sell it off to a third party. Please note, the contract and liability is still in your (contract holder’s) name
What happens if Canlan Sports needs to cancel surface times on my multi week contract?
COVID-19 Induced Cancellation: If any part of your contract is cancelled due to government imposed COVID-19 restrictions, the following scenarios shall apply:
- Contact the Sales Manager of the Sports Complex where you hold the contract: If
COVID-19 restrictions prevent you from using your allotted time, Canlan will work
with you to reschedule to a mutually agreed upon time to move the affected contract
- If that is not possible: If there are COVID-19 restrictions that are imposed and the
complex is closed, and a time cannot be agreed upon, Canlan Sports will remove the
affected time from the contract. If the affected time has been paid for, the refund will
count toward unpaid balances. If the contract is fully paid, and an unpaid balance
does not exist, you may choose to keep it as a credit toward future bookings or, be
Can I cancel my surface or spot ice booking
Surface and spot ice bookings are not cancellable or refundable. If you or someone close to you has been affected by Covid-19, and you need to quarantine, you can contact your Canlan Sports Complex and request that your booking is moved to a later date within one month of the original date, or, a credit may be requested to be used for future bookings.
Canlan Sports reserves the right to adjust the times outlined in the rental agreement up to 15
minutes or in the case where the rental area is a playing surface, to change the designated rink,
court or field. It is further understood that the official time for all playing surface sessions shall
be determined by the time clock located on the playing surface or rental office.
What happens if I have forgotten or neglected to cancel before my rental date?
